One of the greatest gifts my mother gave me is reading. I’ve been a reader since about kindergarten, and Miss Joyce Kessinger was impressed at how well I could read when I was in her First Grade class. I admit I was “teacher’s pet” that year, we got along splendidly.
Mom was always buying me books and I still have them packed away. One of my goals is to have a Library in The Mansion, complete with bookcases nearly to the ceiling.
I confess I’ve gotten away from reading for a while, but I’m looking forward to getting back to it. I want to read as many classics as I can, and I’ve chosen Emily Bronte’s “Wuthering Heights” as my first book to read.
